Improving a Chevy Tailgate
A slew of things can be done to improve the Chevy tailgate of a truck, SUV, or van—be it an Avalance, Colorado, Silverado, Trailblazer, Suburban, or an Uplander. In fact, the aftermarket accessories are available to tweak the Chevy tailgate’s looks and functionality. Some of these are the tailgate step, tailgate net (used to allow more air flow for better gas mileage), and tailgate caps (used to protect the pickups truck’s tailgate top and keep dust and moisture from entering the bed). A long drive may also need the services of a tailgate lock and tonneau cover to hold all cargoes securely inside the bed. Another accessory, the tailgate ramp, makes loading and unloading onto the pickup bed easier. Another option is the tailgate spoiler, which adds up style to a van, SUV, or truck.
