Still Standing High and Proud
Standing as tall (if not taller) as it did three years ago, the Chevrolet Silverado still enjoys the reputation of being one of the elite models of off-road, full-size pick-up trucks.
Features that complement each other such as the robust, roaring engines, the comfortable seats thus comfortable ride, and the spacious cabins makes the Silverado stand high and proud even amongst the most superb new models of pick-up trucks.
The Chevrolet Siverado emerged as an outstanding pick-up model along with the GMC Sierra three years ago, and it was not long before it became apparent which of the new pickup models then are the leaders of the pack, the GMC Sierra and the Silverado are clear favorites among the rest. This distinction has become slightly blurred over the years, what with new and improved models popping out here and there such as the F-150 by Ford and the re-engineered RAM by Dodge. There are no bad apples among the shiny, juicy ones. Each has a superb quality to show off.
Still, the Silverado keeps the competition at bay. Best known for its versatility, the Silverado has been one of Chevrolet’s best-selling vehicles. What gives them a small edge against the rest? To this day the Silverado is known to have rides better that most models. The platform of this vehicle has a hydroformed, boxed frame rails which makes it as strong and rigid ‘as a rock,’ as the ad tag line says. In 2003, the Silverado was updated with significant changes made to its interiors, and mounds of modifications made to it’s electrical system.
To retain the Silverado’s throne, configurations has been made and the Silverado was modified again in 2005, upgrading the automobile to make it more useful to it’s owners. Now the Silverado comes with wider, lower-profile tires on 17-inch wheels, which guarantees the driver with better handling than the previous model. The short-box Extended Cabs with 4WD now offer a more powerful all-aluminum V8. And the gas/electric Hybrid option offers a decrease in operating cost with the same V8 performance.
But once you got your Silverado, the rest is up to you. You have the best pick up available, still smells new and hot off the presses and gives you the best ride a pickup can possibly give, but it will not remain like that. At least, not if you don’t take proper care of it.
So how do you take care of your pride and joy and endure a longer shelf life of its engines? The answer is quite simple: make sure that your Silverado intakes are regulated and that they are not defective. A simple part like the Silverado intake is a key to making sure that your Silverado gives you that maximum horsepower. Air intakes give your engines air, and as an added bonus it also creates an attractive noise for your Silverado.
The Silverado intake gives you maximum performance, increased horsepower, and longer engine life. So keep your Silverado standing a tall and as proud when you first bought it: take care of your Silverado intake.
